If you can get a .com address that would be the best. This does not mean though that other domain name extensions are not any good. The only domain name extensions I would stay away from is the .info and the .org extensions. The reason being is that the .info is so cheap and are not as favorable. As for the .org extension, stay way from that unless you truely are some kind of organization. If you do have a .info extension this does not mean it cannot be successful. Here are some tips on how to make your .info site successful. First, make sure your site is really big. Lots of pages & great content ect. Make sure to use links to and from your website. Lastly, make sure to use social media such as Facebook or Twitter ect. Hope this helps, Daniel

I had been looking for a good explanation of this for awhile. Thanks. Our company’s domain is a .net, but we actually rank better than the .com for our own company name. I suppose it is because of the content.

If you have one of these 3 extensions: .com / .net / .org – everything will be OK
But for brands it’s better to register all of them
